1) How much did you pay for your used 996TT? 88,000USD (Hong Kong - 100% new car tax)
2) When did you buy it? 09/09
3) Year and mileage? '01 32,000 kms
4) What was the original price, and how much did you bargain down? 10% down
5) Did it come with the warranty, or did you buy one, or neither? Neither

Prestine condition, full stock, never tracked, full dealer service and recods, 1st owner car. Lesser examples would run mid-low 80k range.

Thumbs up 2003tt Polar silver with nav and supple leather, etc.

This year 1) How much did you pay for your used 996TT?
2) When did you buy it?
3) Year and mileage?
4) What was the original price, and how much did you bargain down?
5) Did it come with the warranty, or did you buy one, or neither?

1 $49000 +8.75 tax ouch
2 Purchased Aug 09
3 2003 / 21k mi. Tiptronic
4 $138900 Sticker new. dealer was asking 49K without CPO and I paid it.
5 No warranty yet.

Car is perfect. At time of purchase, dealer replaced front tires and rear wing rams. Car was inspected by dealer and was CPO ready. I declined CPO which i now regret due to oil leak and $2900 to fix dealer is agreeing to help out on. All in all- the car is amazing. Am accustomed to driving my super smooth S320, so the TT bumpy ride and loud interior take some getting used to but the Porsche is a privilege to own, beautiful to look at and scarily fast. In the entire history of Porsche, these TT cars are some of the finest in my estimation.

$44.5k out the door price, warranty included.
SEP 09
2001 - 58K mi
$40K DOWN TO $38K
Paid $3K for EasyCare - 3yr/36,000 mi bumper to bumper

Purchased vehicle from local Porsche dealership. Bone stock, full records, new tires, 60K mi service completed, all items in perfect working order. Vehicle qualified for Porsche CPO. Not bad for a 10yr old car!

I absolutely LOVE this car! A blast to drive, has all the goodies, has the performance of a $120K car, for 1/3 the price, the peace of mind of a proper warranty, and my kid gets all kinds of status from his friends when I pick him up from school! It's a win-win-win situation!

Just curious...

...are prices continuing to fall?

...and have these stats ever made it into a spreadsheet?

What a great idea for a thread.

Jonn

PS: To those who have purchased at "higher" prices and are sad, look on the bright side - you already have a kick-butt car that you won't be trading/selling anytime in the near future.

Asking price was 65k
Did not come w/a warranty due to being expired. No CPO due to being heavily modified. I have more than 66k dollars in receipts for everything that was done to the car.
