Is it me, or are prices going up a bit on used tt's, or at least stabilizing somewhat. Also seems I'm seeing fewer on craigslist/ebay than a while back. Maybe what we are seeing is a market correction now that all those who were inclined to sell when the economy turned bad have sold, and there are a bunch of new owners who are not about to sell so soon, thus resulting in fewer cars on the market. Just a thought.

I will still stick to my guns.

An excellent example of a 2005 Turbo "S" with low miles, a clean carfax and PPi, will fetch excellent money as long as it has not been tracked and does not have really OTT mods on it.

I disagree with a lot of folks who return their car to stock to sell it. I think at least IMHO (and I am picky) that a few sensible mods like Exhaust, Headers, DVs, Wastegate actuators and a good flash are an asset. Just look at the posts from those who purchase what they think is a stock TT car and squeal with delight when they find out it has some light tasteful mods on it, that they would do anyway.

Just my 2c from a guy that paid top dollar (at the time) for his Turbo S. I think I already posted my numbers.

I agree with a previous poster, it is not what you paid, that is somewhat moot. I personally did not want a cheap TT. It is whether YOU think you got a good deal, and I definately did.

That is a very impressive buy. Does the car have any modifications?

Indeed. But the owner was in bind due to a new car (lambo) coming. The car also has a very unusual color combination, forest green exterior with natural brown interior. I don't think this combo is very desirable as far as the resale value goes.

My alternative deal was to buy a black/black 02 car with 36K and remainder of the CPO warranty for $42K. So, there are some spectacular deals outthere.

The car has a FVD Brombacher exhaust and a K&N filter as far as the mods go.

Please post a picture. I've never seen a green 996TT. I generally don't like anything but black interior, but that seems like an interesting color combo.

Here these are.
Haven't really had time to take this car to a location that will do its photos justice. Just some pictures from the park where I take kids for a walk

Thank you!

The car is at the dealers, brought it there today for the 30K service. They discovered that ignition coils are in pretty bad shape. CPO will pay for six new coils and some of the labor associated with the 30K service. Looks like I'm getting new coils gratis!
