How much did you pay for your used 996TT?
#61
Definitely have to get a meet together! What kind of 996 are you looking for?

I'm looking for a Black/Silver on Black Turbo 6-sp, under 40k miles, pref. no mods or maybe just exhaust, under $40k.
Let me know if you run into something.
Cheers

I will keep my eyes open for a Black/Silver on Black. I am not looking much anymore. Afraid the prices are going lower and dont want to see that! I know there was a Black on Black up in Wisconsin on autotrader, but had around 70k miles or something. I know nothing about it, just saw it in passing... Someone on the board probably knows about it. Nice looking car...
Getting a clean 996TT with under 40k miles for under $40k would be a great deal! Most I saw under $40k had some type of issues...

I saw/stole this format from M3forums, and i think it is very helpful for future 996TT owners, so if you don't mind, please share!
1) How much did you pay for your used 996TT?
2) When did you buy it?
3) Year and mileage?
4) What was the original price, and how much did you bargain down?
5) Did it come with the warranty, or did you buy one, or neither?
Thanks, TK

Congrats on the new car! There are some thread about warranties on 6speed or rennlist.com. Just do a search and lots of good info and feedback.

Great thread, thanks for the information, guys.
It really sucks to see the value of these cars drop so significantly over the last year...I happen to be in the market again, but this time, it'll be a cabriolet.
What would you guys say the price difference is between X50 and non-X50 cars? $2-3k on the used market?

1) How much did you pay for your used 996TT?
$54,499
2) When did you buy it?
September 2008
3) Year and mileage?
2001 20,000
4) What was the original price, and how much did you bargain down?
asking price was $59,900 (negotiation is a game to me) - $5,401
5) Did it come with the warranty, or did you buy one, or neither?
6 months left - bought another one
Same with others, no matter how far it drops it was worth the price of admission - though I'm thinking we are near the bottom of the market right now

As some already know I got mine yesterday (1/24)
1.) Price Paid 41k
2.) 01 w 23,XXX miles
3.) All stock w/ light wood interior package
4.) Dealer original asking price 48,998 though they dropped it to 44,998 the day I went in to deal so really $3,998 off
5.) No warranty, probably not going to get one either, not a DD car so I don't think the warranty is worth it in this case
I think we are close to the bottom on this market for a while, they will continue to drop but I think the big hits are prettywell gone now
