East Coast Trackers...vir Mar 2009 Pca Zone 2 Event part DEUX!
#17
Darn! I was really hoping to get to this event this year so that I could meet some of the folks I've only seen online. I'll be out of the country in March, though. Are there other events later in the year, and maybe a little further west, that this group will be doing?

Thinking about it. I am a major NOOB (only done 1 DE in my old 997) and i dont take it TOO seriously --- is this event still cool for guys like me that just want to take my car out on the track and have some fun???....or is this like Future Race Car Drivers event?! LOL

I'll try to take some better pics over the next few weeks. We hope to fire the motor on the beast this coming weekend. I still have some stuff to sort and the exhaust has to be fabbed at the local shop and all lexan installed... Hopefully I can get that done in the next few weeks... I'd like to make this event, but will likely not make it until the May Settler's Region Event...

1200 pounds, right?
What kind of motor are you putting in? Some big thing I assume....
Must be fun doing the whole car soup to nuts.....and it must not be as much of a PITA to do the plugs!
Thanks. It is very nice. I could see having a lot of fun with a dedicated car like that.... I especially like the fridge option in the racer's garage. Milk only, right.

Nah, It'll be somewhere around 2200# without my fat **** in it... The car has a fully adjustable suspension and large (for the car) brakes, along with a fuel cell and 14 point cage.
It also has a roadrace trans and a Chevy 383 stroker making in excess of 450Crank HP. The car should easily turn 2:10s or faster around VIR with a better driver than I, once it is sorted out.
No ABS, no TCS, No nothing, pure car and scared to death driver!
