CEL - P0430 - but not the fault code 45, TWC
My CEL came on the other night ('01 turbo, EPL K16/16g, Speedtech 70mm exhaust) and I pulled the fault codes off an Actron generic scantool.
The code reads:
P0430 - Catalyst efficiency below threshold bank 2.
The car did this after 3000 miles after the exhaust (and turbo upgrade) was installed. I'm guessing the usual suspects are not the cause: bad cats, mis-wired o2's, etc. Can I be lucky enough that's it's just a bad o2? The car has 28k miles on it.
I did a search on the forum and came up blank for this exact code. Thanks in advance for any thoughts.
I also got a P0234 Engine overboost code. I didn't think much of it since this seems to be a common condition and seems to happen sporadically to all these cars. There were no misfires and the A/F ratio seemed normal. What other obvious stats should I check for in terms of dangerous conditions?
