I just did the hinge kit repair today, the part number is 996 552 960 01. A good how to is here: http://www.renntech.org/forums/index...4&#entry127924, this might be a repost, but didnt see all the information in one place.

I removed the center console altogether, couple tips would be to put the passenger seat all the way back and reclined, remove the emergency brake section from the center console as well as the batwing. This will allow you to lift and rotate the center console towards the passenger side the pull back.

There are some hidden torx screws, one under and in front of the shifter cover, a couple under the ashtray, couple more in the storage area (the rubber liner and plastic floor lift out as well as the funky thing with the ridges/slots) and also a couple phillips heads under the rear side trim pieces, which come right off, if the console doesnt come out easily, you're missing a screw somewhere. be careful of the electrical connection for the ash tray- very small pair of wires.

Easy job, took maybe 90 minutes start to finish taking my sweet time.
