Weight Loss - removing door speakers
I love my stereo but think that I will do fine with my dash speakers and rear speakers alone. I guess the door speakers weigh at least 10lbs and they are coming OUT !

Have you already bagged the subwoofer? It's good for 12# more!

All sound insulation in interior and in car body + carpets, spare wheel, tool kit, rear wiper, sat nav, Oem exhaust with 200 & 400 cats removed, rear seats out, Oem Manuals, rear tow hook mounting point, exhaust heat shield all out, lighter Gemballa steering wheel, lighter battery, driver and passenger seat back centre section foam, carbon replacement side sill covers and very soon door stereo speakers out, Bilstein Pss9s.

Ok that was actually easier and more fun than I thought
1. Physically pull out the bottom of the door panel ( push on clips )
2. At each corner push in the speaker cover into the door panel
3. Drop down the speaker cover under the door panel and take it out
4. Simply unscrew the speakers
5. Reassemble
The door speakers are the heaviest about 3lbs each and I also took out the front speakers from under the windscreen and left the covers in place too. All in all about another 10lbs out.
So now I am left with the rear speakers only and as I have my sound insulation out the engine anyway adds some base sound. Its also kinda funky as having all the noise, engine and music coming from the rear of the car somehow adds to the whole 911 experience.
