You beat me to it Sinner. I drafted a post yesterday, and was about to make it this morning when I got interrupted with back to back conference calls. Here is my post:
Congratulations to Rob on 1009 RWHP and some awesome kills!!!
Sorry Rob, but I must respectfully decline your request.
Rob recently accomplished something that, to the best of my knowledge, no other 996TT had accomplished before him (and I am only aware of one that has done so since) – he exceeded 1000 RWHP – not FWHP, but RWHP – 1009 to be exact. However, Rob did not start a thread to proclaim his accomplishment, even though it would have been entirely appropriate and warranted for him to do so (if it were me, I would have done so). Instead, Rob only made fleeting references to his accomplishment and many remained unaware of what he had done. Then, a few weeks ago, Rob disclosed a few more details about his historic dyno pull, but the information was buried in a thread about an entirely different car. IMHO, that was inadequate recognition. Rather, given the magnitude of Rob’s accomplishment, I frankly believe he is entitled to his own, dedicated thread. Therefore, notwithstanding Rob’s express request that I shut my mouth, and without Rob’s prior knowledge, I am starting this thread to publicly congratulate Rob on breaking the 1000 RWHP threshold.
Congratulations to Rob, and to his team of builders/tuners, for a job well done!!! This is one very impressive car!

Ps: As evidenced by the content of my post, typed yesterday, I had hoped to start the thread -- I guess I will not have to be satisfied simply joining in the congratulatory messages.

I've been waiting for a post about Rob's car. It's truly an accomplishment. Akram has built a bullet proof engine. Todd's programming is second to none. All this, and the car is still daily driveable. Great vid Amar.
