I'm the second owner (Bought it in Feb. 2007 with only 9K miles on it) and the car has 21K miles on it. It was modified by the first owner almost immediately after it was purchases new, and has had the K16/24 turbos on it since 2002.

58.5K miles Protomotive 24/18 package, daily driver. Half the time 100 octane and other is 93. Car gets run hard all the time. No issues with the Proto package but have had other issues such as:

headlight switch
ignition switch
both front radiators
throwout bearing broke
slave and accumulator..... TWICE!

Thankfully for the wallet, all work done in my garage with the exception of the throwout bearing. I did the clutch the first time but let the dealer do it this last round.

Time for more power!

I have a 2001 with 40k miles. Bought the car 2 years ago and had to replace the battery and alternator. Other than that, perfect stage 2 car.

I am close to finding a 996TT. When I do I will drive it to work everyday (or atleast as long as my co-workers can stand it) , and church on Sundays.
