Would sure like to hear the reason for why a 2001 TT motor with "1000 miles" is just now up for sale.

thats better than good. That will sell for more than twice that with ease. The engine from my cobra costs $11,000, so I am sure that engine is at least 4 times the cost, considering...

Me too Ben.......but possibly the transmission was able to roll down the road another 3000 miles after the wreck
Check out some of the other stuff he's selling.........appears a bit confusing whether the tip transmission came from a C4 (or a TT 3000 miles back).
Anyway..........if it's a credible engine (good luck w/that), it go for alot more than $8K.

That is not a TT tip. Totally different tranny. You can tell from the shaft setup.

I emailed the buyer asking the history of the engine & the reason for the sale. This guy has sold all kinds of weird 996TT parts over the past few weeks. Maybe he's parting out a totalled car. Or maybe he runs a "special" kind of shop...

FYI, new Turbo engines go for around $30K (with a discount from a friendly parts dept.)
