I haven't taken any pics yet bc I haven't built the little black plastic side pieces to fill in the quarter-inch gaps fore and aft. Even if I had a pic, I don't know how to post it.

Holy old thread but had the same issue. If you take out the ashtray you will see a plastic white horse shoe shaped clip that comes out. It has a pin on the end that is probably bent. Take it out from under the gear shaped wheel and try to straighten it. Perhaps that is a part you can order rather than buying a new one or smoker delete part.

Mine was custom painted already so I didn't want to go through the headache of replacing it. Mission successful.
