funny ABS/PSM issue. Help a fellow member!

Hi guys,
After pulling my car out of storage for a check up, I have a PSM/ABS issue. At exactly 31mph the car gets a ABS/PSM light. If you turn the car off and back on it clears it. As soon as you get to 31mph it comes back on. We took off the wheel sensors in the front, and cleaned them off. Still 31mph it comes on. Strange. I hate fighting abs lights.

Any help? Anyone know a quick fix, or troubleshoot?

Car runs absolutly perfect other then this. ABS works perfect under 31mph.

Thanks in advance

Check your battery and the charging system.

Just a guess, but check your tire pressure. Maybe rolling differences will trigger an event...

There are approximately one bazillion faults that cause the PSM/ABS lights to come on. You have to get the codes read, or you will be chasing all kinds of events that have nothing to do with your car.

+1 You def need to have the ABS control module read out for fault codes. That will get you into the affected part of the system. If you need help finding a reputable shop in your area that has a PST2 or at least Durametric software, i may be able to help.

I got it to Porsch this morning, and they are telling me it has a bad brake pressure rugulator on theback of the ABS unit.

For some reason that just doesnt sound right to me.

Did they tell you what the factory fault code was? Would be glad to cross reference it for you to verify

The PST2 is an amazing diagnostic tool. I've watched it reading my car and checking fans and whatnot. Once I was getting random airbag warning lights on the dash. Put the PST2 on the car, it didn't show any codes, but my tech cleared it anyway, and I never got another light.
