is your question comparing k16/16g to k24s? or comparing k16/16g to k24/18g?

The quickest way to get unhappy with your last round of mods is to drive a car with your next round of mods...

Would like to see some comparissons (dyno graphs) of the differences between 16/16 and 24/18's. If both are running pump gas which would be faster? How much quicker do the 16/16's spool up?

You mean both of these from the same tuner and the same dyno?

Make no mistake, I've driven ttboost's EPL K24/18g car with 58lb injectors and when it comes to highway pulls, it is certainly faster than mine.

That said, I think I can run with pretty much anything that's running the stock fuel system on 93 octane.

Well I know the k24/18g is a stronger setup. But my question is how do k16/16g turbos compare in all areas with the regular k24s.

I'm on the fence, i'm either going to buy k24s or send my k16s in to be made into k16/16gs. The k16/16g setup is like $1000 (500 each) while the k24s are $1500-2000.

Depends on your goals. If you plan for more power in the future, a K24 turbo (or hybrid) is probably a better option. If you just want a little more power for playing around, you CANNOT beat the cost effectiveness of the 16G.

wow, excellent time and congrats. Tony, excellent tune. Do you think you'd be able to squeeze more power out of this setup with larger injectors or are the turbos maxed out. In other words how close would Seal Grey's car be to TT's car with the same injectors.

It depends, with more injectors you can run more boost. Being that these turbo's are fairly small and pushing the limits of efficiency, you will start to produce alot of heat going far beyond 1.2 car of boost.

I think water/meth injection would be a better option to extract more power from this set up. It will cool the charge, add combustible matter to the mix and raise the octane level.

I don't plan to go any bigger, that setup should be good for me for a while. Worst case, I want to go bigger in a year and I just find a set of k24s and have the 18g wheel put on.

But let's just say i'm going with a permanent setup. K16/16gs or K24s? Are the K24s worth the extra $500-1000? It looks like there are incredible numbers with the 16gs - like 500awhp and 7-8 second 60-130 times... That's plenty.

I just want to make sure that the plain K24s aren't a ton better than the 16gs, or else i'll spend the extra... Otherwise i'd like to go with the 16gs.

makes sense, thanks. Are the 16's making the same power sooner in the low rpms, due to faster spool etc.?
