60-130 results for my EPL K16/16g kit = 7 flat
So I was up at EPL swapping my 70mm Speedtech exhaust for their 60mm version and Tony happens to mention that they have a Driftbox just sitting around.
Once or twice a few of you guys have asked me to get a 60-130 time, so I thought I'd give it a go.
I'd just bumped down 10mm in exhaust piping (a bit quieter to appease the wife) and added about 10lbs in unsprung weight with some 15mm spacers for the rear so I was kicking myself thinking I should have run this pre-mods.
In any event I was able to get a few runs in. It took me a bit to dial in the run. I had some traction issues (it was nice and cold at 30 degrees) and played around with shift points. It seems that short shifting around 6200rpm to 4th gave me my best run.
I ran a 7.01 confirmed by Scott.
Mods were: EPL custom tune at 1.2 bar, K16/16g turbos with 1bar actuators, DGI/Speedtech 60mm, 5 bar FPR, Bosch 710N DVs, Custom Clutchmasters Stage 3 clutch, 1/2 tank of 93 octane, full weight, AWD.
Thanks again to the folks at EPL. I really couldn't be any happier with my car. Now to throw some race gas in and break into the 6's!
Note: all testing was done on a closed course.

This finally puts the issue to bed that the k16g's are serious upgrade, capable of serious results.
Im very excited that this was done on 93 oct and fuel weight. 6.xx's are will with in sights with water injector or race gas!
Does anyone know if there are any documented faster k16 based turbo 996's?

Congrats on the time!
Tony-
As soon as chris back from overseas and if he has the equipment on hand, Ill post a better time than 7 sec (maybe chris will have to drive the car though) If you have my dyno results you can feel free to post somewhere as I beleive people may be interested. whens your trip to sunny FLA?
