Lot's of supra guys prefer auto's, as their main goal is drag racing. A high stall auto will allow the person to build boost at the line and get a better launch than a manual.

I know the owner of that car. It is a cool show can and has won many shows. It is quick and has ZERO lag from the small turbos. It is definately good for what it was built to do.

yeah, I know that....but seriously...auto..... drag racing is cool and all, but an auto on a street car.....Maybe it has a man shift kit???... and if they are after super quick 1/4 mile times they will need max power...ie T-88

The auto will be faster the majority of the time w/ a car like that.

Thumbs up

I don't know if this was his intention, but the auto also provides a more predictable and regular 1/4 mile time (typically autos are the tranny pick for bracket racers).
