great write up. thanks.

I'm guessing similar process but lots more custom work to make the techart bumper functional as well... Whats originally in place of the center radiator outlet side duct/shroud fitted in the photo above?

I reused the headlight trim gaskets I believe. (there were plastic trim pieces that attach to the GT2 bumper that these attach to if I recall. The turbo gaskets were a ***** to remove but I was able to get tehm off and re-use on teh new bumper.

Hood gasket I just used the 996 one, it seemed to work fine, we went with a carbon hood when doing the swap so that may have factored into it.

I just wanted to say thanks to Wes for helping me gather the right parts as I'm in the process of doing this conversion.

Mike,
You said you did the total bumper conversion. If that's the case, can you please provide the part numbers of the water pipes/hoses in the wheel well that the brake duct spoilers attach to? These would be the hoses that exit the tip of the side radiators and run through the front wheel wells to the center of the car. PET is pretty confusing in this regard. I do know for a fact that coolant pipes pipes/hoses need to be changed because they are different on the GT2 than the TT due to the front drive shafts of the TT. (You can not attach the brake spoilers to the TT pipes due to their design).

Thanks...

Search here on my user name and you will have the total list of parts in that thread. You will see that indeed you are incorrect. If you use my way of doing the install, you dont have to touch the corner radiators at all. I simply bought the front center hoses and modified them to use with the factory piping. Worked like a champ.

I saw all that in your thread Mike. I am not talking about messing with the corner radiators at all. All I am trying to find out are the part numbers of the piping (both water and vent line) that you have to replace that run aft of the side radiators through the front wheel wells to the back of the car. This is the piping I am talking about. The schematic in PET is very confusing but it is clear that the piping is different on the GT2 and TT aft of the side radiators. You can not clip the "air guides" (99657523130 and 99657523230) to the TT piping. Won't work, been there, done that. If you look at the two pictures below, you will see the GT2 duct attached to the silver vent line with the water pipe right above it. The GT2 water pipe and vent line both angle back while the TT water pipe / vent line both angle forward to clear the front drive shafts. You can NOT clip the GT2 air ducts to the TT vent line / pipe due to this forward angle. It also appears that one of the TT brake lines would have to be changed over the the GT2 version as the TT brake line would interfere with the GT2 water pipe that angles back. You can see in the bottom picture how there is a brake line that drops down vertically right below the while clip. This is not present on the GT2. Hope this makes sense.

Thanks..

Sorry man, my misunderstanding. I thought the list of parts I have in the beginning included all those hard pipes that Suncoast was so nice to allow me to return.

My recommendation would be to modify the clips on the airguides instead of trying to modify those water pipes. That is what I did. Simply relocate the clips on the air guides! Drill out the rivets, drill new holes to relocate the clips, and rivet them back in place... Drill, appropriate bits, pop rivet gun, and some rivets.

You are sure that the pitch is 16, not 1,6 mm?

8mm X16 X80... Hmmmm That is a good question now that I think. Its not pitch because pitch on metric bolts general runs between 1.0/1.25/1.5/1.75 for the pitch of the thread... So I dont know what that stands for.
