Garage update -- Pics of construction, start to finish

In case any missed the thread back in June/July, here's pics of the garage construction from groundbreaking to now. Exterior is to be painted tomorrow, so it should be completely done shortly!

Scott,

Looks great! I showed my wife and even she was impressed! My kids love the video games and big screen. You really took the time and did it right. Congrats!

Scott - A tip:

My dad and I built a 30 x 30 for his shop (he restores model-A's) and around the perimeter of the shop from the floor to about 16 inches up he glued white plastic sheets (like the stuff in 4' overhaed lighting), and trimmed it off with chair rail. Now, when he hoses out the garage he does not have to worry about water damaging the drywall. It works great. I'm not sure if you can hose down that flooring, but if so, and without a brick ledge, you may want to think about it. You can buy it in 4 x 8 sheets and can rip each sheet in (3) 8' sections.

Damon -- I did use greenboard on the sidewalls which is a more water-resistant drywall (used in bathrooms) -- so it SHOULD do -- however I will keep your tip in mind if any problems arise!

Exterior painted!

Siding is sprayed with a bleaching oil chemical -- it will weather and turn a nice gray over the next couple months. Looks a bit uneven for now. Still waiting for asphalt... also a pic of the upstairs as some have requested.
