I'm Sorry I Just Love This Ad...

Thanks for sharing that. I don't make it out to the Porsche website often...and that commercial was awesome.
"It's a funny thing about a Porsche. There is the moment you know you want one; there is the moment you first own one; and for the truly afflicted, there is the decade or two that passes in between."
I remember sitting on the living room floor watching this movie...with some good looking guy (Le Mans) and telling my dad I was gonna have one of those fast cars someday. He didn't believe me...shame on him. And I can remember that gold 928S4 that would pass by my school every day at lunch. Boy, was I in awe of that car!
I am not so blessed that right out of the gate (age 18) I could afford one of these cars. I knew from a very young age I would own one though. I saved my money for what seemed like forever to buy my first Boxster cash. The rest, well, life has been good to me and I've worked for everything, but I still feel truly blessed.
Take nothing for granted.

That's a great commercial... never gets old... one of the first car/Porsche commercials that really made an impression on me was I believe a 944 (Turbo?) commercial... they used a heavy rock and roll track that went "School's Out For The Summer.... " and had a 944 powersliding sideways across the frame in slow motion... loved that commercial, but only saw it a few times...

Risky Business sealed it for me. The 928 exhaust note in that movie and the guy across the street later had a 928S4 that I drooled over as I rode my bike by every day.
Even then I couldn't believe he had an auto tranny, but still drooled. (I know now most were autos)

Great short film! The commercial was filmed at Pacific Porsche in Torrance CA by a member of the OC PCA. He is a total Porsche nut and drives a beautiful 73 rs clone.
He also produced a few others you might remember:
Daughter missed schoolbus to ride in Dads P car (he was the "dad" driving the 911)
Revving the Cayenne in the driveway for his buddy on the phone.
