16/24 horse power difference from stock

no doubt about that, that is not the only car he's fast with. His GT2 is another. I would like to see him in action, launch and shifting. Although you probably have the better skill on a road course for now.

Although I appreciate the compliment, there are a BUNCH of guys here who could drive circles around me... This year there will be a lot of guys continueing on in their Porsches, while I struggle to learn a new (old) platform with zero driving aids... No PSM, no AWD, no ABS...
Should be very interesting...

,ics escargo, headers, giac file evo piping, evo air cleaner, and i have to say once flashed the k16/24s made the biggest difference.. i did have to replace them after only about 8000 miles do not know why i followed all the cool off instructions , and wait period until full throttel. if they fail again i will try vivids k24s

Haha, your ignorance is forgiven, simply because I had a great laugh at that one. It's all good
Heh, anyways, K16/24 means you take your stock K16 turbos and have K24 compressor wheels installed on them - somewhat known as "zero clearance" turbos. The compressor wheels cause even greater airflow.
So basically you change your two K16s into two K16/24 hybrids.... OR you can just buy two regular K24 turbos and be done with it (which would be the "K24 setup" (K24s come off 996TT X50s, 996 Turbo S's and 996 GT2s) - kind of what you meant in the last part about 24/24).
Make sense? heh

Mike,
Isn't 625-650crank hp with the mentionned parts a little on the high side ?... I have a set laying on my garage counter, and I am hesitating at trading them for k14/18g, but then, I will need to seed another 4k while retaining the k16/k24, I only have to spend for the tuning... But... if it can realllllly yeld 625 so so hp, I can live with that..

I have no experience with those turbos, but based on what other guys are saying, it sounds like those hybrids make around the same kind of bhp as K24s. Which in that case, 600-625hp is certainly doable on the right tune, and most likely on race gas....
The others can chime in, but I don't think those expectations are unreasonable, 600bhp is certainly fair I think.

Kevin at UMW told me that he's seen between 530-540 WHEEL HP (AWD) on 93 Octane on his in house Dyno. He also claims 570-575 with 100 Octane.
According to Kevin, the proper way to ensure you are getting the proper reading is to remove the bumpers and to have "proper" fans on ALL of the radiators and intercoolers.
My car has never been on a Dyno since I've owned it. But when I bought the car, it came with dyno sheets from when the previous owner had it at a local NOVA performance shop, Curry's Automotive. With the CRAP Upsolute tune that was on the car when I bought it, he turned 510WHP and 532#ft. torque. The car was a complete dog in that configuration, and would not overcome the stock clutch at all. Compared to Kevin's software upgrade, along with his wastegate springs and 5Bar FPR, it's night and day. The car now should EASILY surpass the numbers above.
And now Tony from EPL is saying he can tune more power... So yea, I fully believe that 625Crank HP (based on a drivetrain loss of 20% for AWD) is completely realistic.
Yesterday I gave a guy named Gary (don't know if he is a member here) a ride in my car. He was interested in buying a new Speedtech exhaust and John D. asked if I could give him a little test ride. We'd been playing tag since Xmass. So I took him out for a ride. He has K24s and a UMW flash, along with the "drilled out" OEM exhaust. His words to me were that he now understands why the K16/24 hybrids are so loved. Instant throttle. No Lag. Big Block Chevy Torque.
I've yet to have anyone drive or ride in my car and come away anything less than "impressed".
