gentlemen, i need your collective mind

guys
ide like know 2 things

firstly....
my car is giving me an INSANE amount of wheel hop
especially in 2nd gear ...

how can i eliminate or significantly reduce this
my JIC coilovers are nowhere near full stiff, and i keep 42lbs cold in the rear of the car ...

second question
it seems like im going to be stuck with these 19 inch wheels....
i dont want to run a 315 25 19 because it stretches on the tire... iwant to try a 325 30 19 .. yea thats right , a 325 30 19
on a stock car, it would rub on the INNER fender liner...

my question to you fine people is... if i remove a portion of the fender liner where the sidewall of the tire would sit, would it give me the necessary 1 inch of clearance ?

thank you guys

You would have to worry about rubbing the boost hose on the driver side....

I think there are several people running 305/30-19s that came off 997TTs (as part of the wheel tire package) I don't think clearance is an issue at that width, but I could be wrong. Are you running 12" rears?

Running a taller tie (as long as you match the front) should help with the car.

Have you tried going full stiff on the rear shock? I am interest in the wheel hop opinions as well.

WOW! I have 12" rears and running 315's and my tires are pretty stretched. I can't imagine how your tires must be.

Are your wheels 2 or 3 piece? Can you get some smaller back pieces/hoops and bring the down to something more useable in width?

Sounds like you could get a back piece that was 1" narrower, refit your 315's. You "shouldn't" have a rubbing issue if you didn't have one before because the outside will stay the same relative to the hub, though the rubber wont be as stretched, and the inside should gain some clearance.

You need to start replacing rear suspension components and motor mounts.
You need solid or X-73 motor mounts and upgraded rear control arms, etc.

The more expensive fix is above, and it will work, but sticky tires often eliminate 99% of wheel hop before it ever happens. That's why I asked for the brand of tire you were running.

I run Michelin PS2's (295/30-18's rear with 225/40-18's front)on my GT700 with the X73 suspension/mounts and wheel hop is minimal.
