Pics of my ol tires... (extreme stretching)
Guys
i took my 19s off my car...
im on 18 inch turbo twists for the time being until i can figure out this tire problem
here are various tires on my 19s, so you can see how stretched they are..
first..
this is a michelin PS2
do you guys think this is safe (the stretching, not the metal bead showing)
this is the outer part of the rear wheel (michelin PS2 315/25/19)
inner part
this is a yokohama avs (315 25 19)
look how much narrower it is compared to the michelin
inner part... same tire
Toyo T1r (235 35 19) front tire
inner part
my car always felt unresponsive.. as if there was a delay between my tires and the steering wheel
right on im on oem wheels with oem tires
and the car feels completely different
extremely responsive, and even though im on 295s vs 315s, the car has more traction, even from a launch..

Never seen anything like it. If I saw them mounted like that, I would never run them. You wheels must be 13's at least. Most people have those common tire sizes on 11's and 12's and they are not stretched that much. They must have been one rough ride??!!! Looks like you need a 345 or something to use all that rim?

Steve, i think you really should talk to the guy who sold you the wheels, and find out whats the deal on the wheels.

A while back, i needed to order a wheel. I measured the width, it was a tad over 12". When i brought the wheel in to order an exact copy, they told me even though i measured it to be over 12", it was a 11.5" wheel.

From what you have posted, you run on the street harder than I run at VIR. And, you have not driven them off the rims yet. Says something about Michelin quality.
It doesn't look safe. I'd likely get new rear wheels.... I had the same problem running 265 snows on the stock 11" rear turbo twists. I ended up getting 10" wheels and spacers. It is much more "safe" looking and per Damian and others, safe period. Your tires are actually worse looking than my known 265 on 11" problem that everyone "knows" is unsafe. That is not quite the exact same thing, but it is close enough for me to be certain that running that way is bad.

i wasnt exaggerating when i said i beat the hell out of my car lol
i think it might be cool to run a pirelli pzero 355 25 19
and have a body shop do some sort of a mini wide body in the back..
