Thoughts?

Reverse drop serves two functions 1) to make the center bigger for looks... and 2) sometimes the larger center *may* enable you to run larger brakes. Oh wait, there's a third... for people who are somehow obsessed with "lips"

i too is still a fan of a reverse lip wheel, u cn get the most lip form it, but on certain cars like the 996, i think the step lip loos better in my opinion, that is one of the reasons why i got my techart daytonas, gives the car a more racier look..

LM is based on a race wheel.... and they look good on that car. I have a customer who has a set on a black car and it is lowered.
That color of car and angle dont do it justice,
That wheel is also built off of a 17" center hence they look small..

Race wheels are always a step lip design for lighter weight. The LM is a classic, but for me it just doesn't work on that particular car. People who like that old school race-inspired look always get standard lip wheels. It has a certain appeal to it.
LM sure looks great on BMW 3/5 series though. Personally, on a 996, i'd take the Work Brombacher over the LM any day.

I guess I'm in the minority that thinks they look good. From Ferraris to older Porsches to asian imports, they seem to fit the look and style of a lot of cars.
On an '87 Carrera coupe
On a 360 Modena
On a 300ZX twinturbo
I guess it's refreshing to see something other than the same old 19" HREs.

have to agree, those 3 pictures look pretty good. I think those look better than the 996 picturd earlier.
