Edit. Deal died on the a8 used seats.....someone paid 4k for some ratty ones per pair (4 pair...gone). I suppose the CS is better, but I liked the old school look for some reason.

I think that 10.5 inches is more than enough for any kid, in fact you could get a normal sized female adult back there with that much space, I don't like the looks of those recaros, but they do have the advantage of being reclinable. After sitting in a set of GT3 replicas the other day, I am sold on them. They are very comfortable even without the recline feature.

 

Thanks. This is the kind of data I need. Now I just need a former recaro a8 owner. Sure the A8's weigh more and in their day, they were "the thing"...unique if you will. Some said they were the best seat they ever used on track in a DD car.

Think DD car....


I am 5"10" 180lbs. 33" waist, sort of broad shouldered. Trying to stay fit as I get older (used to ride the bike 10x what I do now..).

Jeff, I am 5'11" 33 inch waist and 45 inch chest. to give you an idea of how the GT3 replicas fit me perfect. Honestly even if you get the recaros at $1100, those replicas are too good to pass up.
