catastrophic engine carnage...

Just to clear a few things up... the engine failure happened because of the EBC and not the Protomotive Tune right?
I currently have my EBC set up with a switch that TURNS OFF the EBC whenever I choose. When I turn off the EBC I boost at around .8 bar. Not sure why the EBC on Rick's car didn't work but mine works perfectly. I use this function all the time, especially when I have other people driving my car.

I used the factory lines from my stock boost controller as well. Was this my problem??? I also routed the lines to the EBC using this forum as Wes and Nero were racing that weekend.

Depends on how you ran the lines. The stock lines by themselves aren't horrible (although the plastic fishtank tubing used in parts is ghetto). If the actuators don't see any pressure source, the wastegates stay closed until there is enough exhaust pressure to push them open. There isn't to allow them to fully open, therefore ka-boom.
In the prior 4 pulls before the explosion, did you have no idea the car was running unusual at all? You should have had detonation or stuttering of some type at high rpms.

I'm back up and running fine with the same kit and Protomotive program minus the EBC! On the Dyno my boost went to 1 bar with a 1.1 spike. I'm still scratching my head though trying to figure out what really happened?
