The page at www.6speedonline.com says:
You must spread some Reputation around before giving it to tom kerr again.
You have exactly 1 year to have that car at Road Atlanta starting from your first time driving it this weekend, or else..........

Tom, are you familiar with the Aeromotions S2 Dynamic wing? It would seem to be a natural for your application unless it is excluded from competition by rule.

back from Sebring. many "small" problems that finally ended in an electrical kill that ended the day early
that was the point of today the shake down for 2 weeks
car got several sessions
you can really notice how light the car is. I had to turn the boost down twice!! and the car still like it had 100 extra hp in the corners.
car now is light and nimble and dare I say very Cup car like
set up was stiff and spot on. turned near record setting times without even trying for my PR.
car back at the shop, updates and pics later.............

Has anyone actually proven this does anything better than the typical wing? I know it was designed by MTI students etc etc, but has anyone gotten any better times with it than the usual big wing?

Without active aero components modern aviation and space travel might be impossible. Active wings are not new; the Chaparral IMSA cars used them in the 1970's and F1 cars currently use active aero components in their front wings. The issue is that they have been disqualified for competition in some race series for the reason you question; they work too good. What is interesting IMO about the Aeromotions product is that they have made active aerodynamic systems cost effective enough for the club racer to consider assuming they are permitted for competition.
