I took these spy shots while visiting Vortex today for the Porsche swap meet.

What's he up to? Roll cage? Or possibly sending every single interior piece off to shop to have them changed to yellow? Tom is an enigma and it's anyone's guess...

I hope he keeps the steering wheel

Looks like the dash is out too...make it light and safe.

 

If I'm not mistaken the dash is only out for the roll cage installation, then will go back in.

 

Yes your right, I think I read that it was coming out to connect cage to front shock towers? It is heavy, I bet Tom has second thoughts.

Although I'm convinced there will be more yellow parts in there before this is all said and done.

most of the details are on my other post about interior going to a race car.

it will be a basic tube frame type will cage from shock tower front to back and side to side. fully welded into the car and A and B pillars and roof.

should really stiffen up the cars handling.

dash is out for two reasons, to get all the weight out, radio, speakers, ac stuff. and to place a proper cage. one cross beam will be side to side inside of the dash instead of at knee level.

I will keep posting on the other thread, the roof will be coming off this week.

I saw your other thread. I knew I wasn't blowing up your spot I can't wait to go for a ride once the final conversion is done. It was maniacal before. I can't imagine what it will be like now!
