Smog Due

No 4 wheel dyno test in CA. One of the great things about awd cars here. You will get an idle and 3k rpm tailpipe test with no load. What mods do you have on your car? My friend passed with a 700 kit, 100 cell cats, headers, etc. etc. He had his tuner tweak it a bit for the test and he passed with flying colors.

I recently started a thread about this subject- do a quick search and you'll find some useful info.
If your car is stock, you have no issue. if your car is modded, you should be fine as long as you have an exhaust with 200 cell cats or greater (some with 100 cell will pass, straight pipes won't). The only issue is passing the visual part of the inspection, but 9/10 times it's not a problem, since the smog techs aren't very familiar with these cars.

I take mine to the nearest independent smog shop/gas station/7-11 wannabe
in my little town. 5 minutes and I'm done. No dyno needed. The car has
non stock intake, it's chipped, and a non-stock exhaust. no problems.

I was concerned when I did mine, but it easily passed. My mods are in my sig. Just make sure to tell them it's AWD so they won't put it on the rollers
