installed headers, and FIXED SPOILER PROBLEM (read me)

Guys,

just wanted to let you know ... i picked up used EVO headers from member Kato on this board.. the headers (as i was informed) had a crack in them, and two dents on the underside..

i called up tim and he knew how badly i wanted these installed, so he opened the shop for me today...

the cracks were rewelded and checked for leaks, and the dents were repaired..

my impressions...

the car spools up noticably quicker... which gives you more torque down low...
also you can hear the whistle of the turbo's while cruising...

definately a great upgrade... and to whoever says that they dont make a difference... i absolutely disagree..

now

if you remember, i was having an issue with my rear spoiler.. it wasnt going up evenly, and there was fluid all over the hydrolic lifts...

i dont really remember exactly what was done, but they managed to get everything working back to spec , and i dont have any warning lights..

if i remember correctly, the hydrolic lifts were bled all the way through, and 2 seals were replaced ?

anywho... i saved $1600 on a new mechanism so im happy as can be..

also got my oem chin spoiler put on

i suggest you guys with spoiler issues give rpm a call kuz it seems that they found a way to save us all $1600

initially we thought the motors were bad.. but theyre as strong as they ever were..

Awesome to hear about the spoiler!! Where did you go for that? Did they take the motors apart? I'd love to get mine fixed as well as they are leaking, but seem to work fine (and I get a dash light occasionally).

How much did RPM charge to fix the hydraulics?

IMO headers do help performance (mines whistle too). Glad to see you got them done with cost savings.

Steve;
I'd be real curious to know what seals they replaced and how. When I dove into the hydraulic lifts, I found a sealed brass cylinder inside with no obvious rebuild option.

wow this is really good to hear. as I have read a ton of people say it does nothing as well.
And I have a set of those I bought of a member here as well that are going on later this week and I am really hoping I notice something....
