Rob, kudo's for the level head, even I've given you a hard time in the past for being scared of subjecting your car to objective testing, but I must say, for someone that gets as much $hit as you.....you have handled it all extremely well and in a very professional manner. You have my respect for that brother... :thumbsup:
Paulie/Sean, keep it up, until the vids are posted, you're back/forth is very entertaining...

I think that says exactly what I want to say.! Well done.

Someone stated earlier that this closes the chapter on the fastest car, but I think that this is the beginning of a new chapter. The modability of these cars is coming into it's own and the next chapter is here. I can see these cars hitting the stratosphere.
In every venue the 996tt is an incredible platform. For nurburgring where it holds the fastest street legal car time of 7:15, to lap of america where it has dominated for 5 years and now challenging the fastest speeds at the 1 mile.
this should make everyone proud of such a special machine.

First of all, congratulations!!
All this done on pure hp/engine work? I don't see any aero changes to the car. Wow! It is awesome to see that our cars, as is, have the aerodynamics for insane speeds.

[quote=ScottKelly911;2321688]Good questions Scott!
We never touched the boost controller (or anything else for that matter)on the car all weekend.It likely picked up mph on Saturday due to much better weather and keeping the pedal to the floor after getting used to the car after a couple of passes
Yes , but we were around 7700 rpm in 6th gear at the traps on the 231 run,the rev limiter was set at 7800.
yes
I had lost the front belly pan on Friday on the first pass which forced us to remove the rest.It would be only a guess but I bet in cost us a couple of mph or more not having them on.
Thank You!
How much was left in the car? or did you pretty much go ***** out this time with the boost?
When you hit the mile mark, was the car still pulling pretty hard or were you about topped out?
Also, I'm curious, did you tape up the seems for this run?
Like someone else mentioned at those speeds, drag is very inhibiting and you could could very well pick up an extra .5 to 1.5 mph most likely, maybe even more.
Anyway, Congratulations on the new crown as Fastest road Porsche in the mile of all time!!!!
