Can you install a harness without a rollbar in the 996TT?

Def. would be a lot safer with a roll bar or something that's bolted to the chassis...
harnesses without the above kind of defeats the purpose...
but agreed, sometimes i wish the rear seats were available!

Thanks for the shout guys.
We have plenty of the black leather GT3 seats in stock.
Sub mount harness bars are also in stock to go along with the seats.

the harness and harness bar is not a dangerous setup unless the car rolls...having a racing seat and a harness that holds you in place without a roll bar would not be desireable in a roll over..in fact you might fare better in that type of accident with the stock seat and belt...that is all he is saying...in a non roll over accident the racing seat and harness, with sub belts would be far superior to the stock set-up...personally, I would not track a car without some type of roll over protection because I am strapped in tight including a Hans

Good discussion.
I have the GT3 seats - my 5 and 7 year old can get in back with the passenger seat moved forward. I find them very comfortable as well. Had a 3 hour drive and felt great at the end of it. I'm actually debating whether to keep them in my DD when I move to a dedicated track car, but will probably end up selling them.

I just bought Tom Kerr's GT3 seats and find myself with the same question / dilema - I need to get a harness (actually two) and apparently I'm going to have to take the plunge and go with the full roll cage. If there's a way to attach the harness without a full cage, I'd love to hear about it.
as far as the GT3 seats. even without the harnesses they hold you in very firmly. they are more than comfortable enough for daily driving and if the car is only very occasional track duty these seats without the whole harness and bar thing are still a tremendous upgrade for the track
sorry if this is a repeat didnt read the thread
