Good News for these interested in TPMS!!

After some extensive reasearch it looks like Orange Electronic should be the system that will work in our cars. I was able to get in touch with Orange Electronic USA and talk them into doing a Group Buy for us 6 speeders at an unbelievable price of $120, or lower if we get more guys directly from the manufacturer.

Now, since I only post in the 996Turbo/GT2 section, it would be great if you guys help me spread the great news throughout other 6speed forums as the more guys we get the better the pricing and I'm sure it's not just 996 Turbo guys that would like to start saving on tires by having this installed.

See the Group Buy thread:

Going back to my original thread TonyNJ has it installed in his car:

We started researching which TPMS system would work and found out that some systems out there are not compatabile due to the unique design of Porsche rims, the representative from Orange Electronics said that with their sensors it wouldn't be an issue.

Also, their design looks like the cleanest installation out of all of the ones I've seen on the market. Additionally their Sensors closely resemble OEM factory sensors as they also make replacements for OEM systems. The 7+ year battery life is also a huge plus. The price at which this is being offered is unmatched as I've seen these kits go as high as $200. Keep in mind that this is not a cheapo valve steam mounted kit.

They will work but you have to get in touch with HRE and have them send you the TPMS adapters.

Is there any way they can provide black valve stems, or can these be powder coated without screwing anything up?

Is the only advantage of the Orange system that it fits in Porsche wheels and is cheaper than others? I just bought and installed the Hella TC-400 TPMS in my X5, hearing great things about that system from local BMW club guys, and was about to buy the same system for my 996TT. Do you have any comparisons between Orange and Hella?

What are the adapters required for HRE wheels and how much are they? Knowing HRE not cheap.

I would be interested as well but would like to know if they would work on Avus three piece wheels. Perhaps we could put a list of questions/pictures of different wheels together and request HRE to respond to them?
