Ran a LP560-4 last night

It seems that all the moding makes not a big diference in power , It might make it on the wallet but when its time to prove against something it might just show us the truth.
I have always had doubts about all the high priced packages for the 996TT that advertise 550+,600 or whatever HP. maybe that is the reason I still keep my car stock. Such is life

I have also have the 2c setup, I had traction issues during tuning and would spin the tires in 2,3 and sometimes 4th at about 4500rpm while doing 2000-redline WOT runs. I swapped tires to something with more grip and can still break them in 2 and 3rd easily ...but I am at over 6000', you should *easily* be able to do this at sea level. The 2c (K24/26) kits are detuned for 600whp- Have you talked with Kevin yet?

Guys, thanks for the comments. Kevin is helping me with this to find out if there was anything out of line and in fact I am meeting with him tommorrow. He has been a great help since day one I dropped off my car for him to work on.

Yes, please. If you in fact have 600whp, spanking that Lambo shouldn't be much of a project. If he is stock, he should pull you by a car or so and then you should pull ahead and stay there ever so slowly pulling away.

It is what it is. R&T got 129.5mph, C&D got 130mph. Here is another one:
http://www.caranddriver.com/content/...rdoLP560-4.pdf
The slowest time I've seen was 11.4 @ 127mph from motortrend:

What is a 1/4 mile time for a 600whp 911? Isnt it also around 11 flat @ 130mph? 3 car lengths sounds like a lot, but it is only a few tenths difference in the 1/4 mile...

The fact is; a full-weight, 600 whp TT, with stock gearing, is a mid 6-second 60-130 car. A stock weight, stock geared LP560 is a high 7, low 8-second 60-130 car.
Thus, either the TT is not making a true 600 whp, the Lambo is making 100 more HP than stock, or the driver of the TT did not drive his car properly.

You could not be more wrong, my friend.

Ken, Kevin will fix it for sure. I think two things are happening here. First, I think you're starting your rolls early in the rpm band. 3rd at 40 mph is not good. Unless you have 22 inch diameter wheels that is Second, I don't believe you are putting down 600 whp. Say an LP560 puts down about 460-470 to the wheels, and say that due to it's dual clutch tranny you give up another 50 whp, you still have enough to walk him. The fact that you are not spinning your tires tells me that there is no way you are at 600 whp. I'm at one level down from you, due to lack of fueling and I am spinning tires (PS2's) in 2nd and part of 3rd.
Once Kevin gets it all sorted out, run him again and lets see where things fall.

As has been said, things do not add up here.
I will say the LP-4 560's are wickedly fast. I was at the dragstrip Wednesday night and there was a white LP-4 560 (stock as per the owner) and he was running 11.1 to 11.3 sec passes and trapping 127-8-9.
We've also had highway runs with the 560 against our nitrous set up E60 M5's (580 - 585 rwhp) and get beat buy 2 carlengths consistently.
The LP-4 560's got something special because they're alot faster than the rated 552 bhp.

I was just going based on the weight from the mag that posted the 129.5 mph trap speed. If it's 3300 lbs, that makes a lot more sense then. But not nearly enough sense to beat a 600 whp car. We are talking 680-690 almost 700 hp in a TT vs a stock 552 hp LP. There is no way he should get walked.
