Congratulations on the baby! Do you need a different MAF with the 24/18 upgrade? None of the tuners that I have spoken to included that as part of the package. Just a ECU flash, 24/18 conversion, and a 5 bar fpr.

No, you don't NEED one for the 18G upgrade. It seems you made need it, if you run anything OTHER than a stock airbox with the STOCK MAF. The Hitachi is the more popular upgrade right now for people having stock MAF issues.

I passed with my setup - can't say that it wouldn't with this one.

Hitachi will prevent MAF issues and results in better resolution at the high end of the scale. The stockies mostly pop due to too much voltage.

It's a total plug and play but requires specific programming and is 100% reversible with the stock MAF / Programming. I'm not keen on splicing wires and stuff and like to keep as many stock parts as possible.

...oops I almost let the "secret tuner" cat out of the bag... gotta watch myself.

Looking forward to hearing more... I'm running a Hitachi MAF with K24's right now but have been pondering the 24/18 upgrade. Would you mind sharing the upgrade costs (PM is fine)? I used to be on GIAC but am currently running EVOMSit... As you know, I'm local so am interested in who you chose (pretty sure I know)... Do the before/after dynos, PLEASE!!!

I will let everyone know when the project is complete. Gotta keep a little mystery to keep up the fun.

I can tell you what everything costs except the custom tuning.

You are welcome to come and try it out when it's all done.

My before dyno is always below in my sig.

Ari,there is no need to run a second fuel pump with k24/18turbos...However 60lb injectors(combined with stock FPR) will let you run 1,4bar when needed safely...Stock MAF reaches its limits at 600AWHP...i blew my own with OEM airbox on the dyno, because the car produced 1,45bar on same EBC setting for 1,37-1,39 for the road...so after you put the turbos and injectors, next mod you need to consider is hitachi maf...do not put a second fuel pump...

Yes,If I remember correctly.

Rails = fuel rails, where the injectors attach to.

Fuel rail - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

A fuel rail is essentially a pipe used to deliver fuel to individual fuel injectors on internal combustion

You have to put 60lb injectors and you can run one fuel pump. MAF needs to be upgraded for levels over 600HP. You will blow MAF's left & right.
