Car is loaded on trailer, heading to EVOMS....

Whoops, my mistake, I read it wrong. 660 awhp on pump is pretty damn impressive. And this was at 21psi= 1.4 bar? Let us know what happens when you add timing and get the AFRs where you want them.

Did I hear correct? 750 AWHP, 100 degrees, 22 degrees timing & a torque monster!!!! Still working on it, Very nice.... Take care of my baby, Damn I love that trailer.

Just got off the Evoms bat phone and its actually 760AWHP.So Kevin and Todd ,since it was on the miscalibrated, optimistic Evoms dyno that means it is making about 500 at the crank?Don't worry though, look at the bright side it will probably run 210 +@ the mile!Enjoy it Kevin!

Busy day today...lots of good news Best thing that happended today wasnt the dyno. It was a particular car that I loaded today headed to Arizona. I met Topgun in LI this afternoon and we dragged his car out of the shop and onto the trailer. Tom, your car is in good hands and on to bigger and better things. It was just a shame to pick up a Porsche with doggie bags full of
parts going along for the ride....
Well, this thread started with a silver car heading to Evolution, it is fitting that it ends with another silver car headed there as well

Anyway, as far as the dyno today I only spoke to Todd briefly but everything went very well. Car ran efficient and was not pushed hard at all. I will post all the graphs and videos when I get them in hand but the basic summary is this: Todd Z is protecting me from myself
He will not push this car and to be honest, I dont blame him. He was good enough to take these 2 problem children into his shop, the last thing he or I would want is shiny parts on the floor. So we have a very conservative tune. I will run the car for the Summer and then go back in the winter and try to blow it up then... We did NOT tune on C16. We only used MS109 which is 105 unleaded. It produced 760 AWHP( 925 crank 18% loss) on Todd's Mustang dyno in 100+ degree heat today. Timing was conservative at 22deg max and AFR was VERY conservative at 10.8. It was only run to a max of 7500 rpm as well even though the turbos were still going real strong. I asked Todd about the tq curve and he dug very deep into his vocabulary of technical terms to describe it... "the tq curve was stupid". Huge power under the curve. It was making real tq just off of 2K rpm on the dyno run. It still had stock Y pipe and upper plenum, not the 997 version.
On pump gas it was 655 AWHP( 800 crank 18 % loss)... in similar circumstances and parameters although AFRs were a bit higher at 11.2.
That is all I really know at the moment. I will be down there driving it Tur for a day and then he is going to put it back on the dyno to tweak its street manners to my taste. I will try to get him to run it up to 7800 rpm as well while I am there...She has MUCH more in it...

Congrats on fantastic results!!!
I think its important to mention that in a recent conversation with evo, they mentioned that a stock 996 makes about 400 awd hps on their dyno. A stock car is rated at 415 crank hps, thats only about 4% drive train loss.... 18% may be alittle on the high side for a crank conversion.
Either way a VERY stout car .

Yes he did. After several back to back to back runs the IAT would rise and the car would pull back a pound or two of boost, like it should. IC's were marginal on the dyno ,but it was over 100 degrees. It doesnt get that hot were I live..

makes sense. and AZ has gotten very humid which makes things worse. AZ is not dry like it use to be. So you'll probably be fine up your way.
hey while your there can you steal a set of IC's for me.
