I bought my GT2 brand new in 2002 and love it! I do like the 997TT looks just as much but I am not an all wheel drive guy and I prefer rear wheel drive vehicles much better. I also think with with just a tune and exhaust the GT2 will be much, much faster than a 997TT with the same mods so that might be a bonus if you don't like to do a bunch of modding for the performance you are looking for? And like a lot of other people pointed out the GT2 is a rare car and there aren't many of them out there.

If you are a solo or better track person, the gt2. Otherwise, the tt. I have a tt and it is quite fun for me on track with suspension mods....awd is not "that" bad....)

Good luck. Tough problem.
