Sharkster,

When you say that the Brembo GTR kit fits stock GT2 wheels, did you check the GT2 Mk1 wheels with the kit? It's just you said '02-'04 and mine is an '01 car......I know that '01 wheels are the same as '02 wheels, but just wanted to be sure.....

Thanks

Guy
Hey there Guy,

Since I was the first guy to have this brakes and also insistant upon 18 inch wheels, I've gone through EVERY possible set of wheels and tried them on the car. The old turbo twist style GT2 wheel DOES fit as well. I've personally tried them

Now for a second follow-up stupid question.

Are the brakes fitted 4-pot or 8-pot and are they the lightweight discs?

My second set of PCCB front rotors are now showing severe signs of degredation and the car has only done 19,000 miles in total. This set of PCCBs have only lasted 10,000 miles so far with 99% street usage.

As far as non-PCCB brakes go, the GTR kit is as light as it gets. The caliper is an 8 piston work of art but it's also so darn light it's not even funny (gotta love the titanium inside). That has to be the lightest caliper I've ever seen (I think it's about 6 pounds if I remember right. The discs are 15 inch and two piece. Those are heavier than the PCCB rotors but still lightger than stock....

Sorry to hear about your PCCBs

One day we're all going to be 70 years old and in an retirement home for the mentally sick talking about the days when we went broke modifying our Porsches

"This one time, at band camp, I stuck a 150 shot of NOS...."

It is fun tho James

Yes Simon...

That'd be ME!!

It had @ 800 mi's when I took delivery. The white w/ CF accents really set the car off.
