Possible clutch/tranny issue

About 10 days ago, my car was making a very light (barely audible) click click click noise as I was driving. The next time I drove her (about 4 days ago) I backed out of my driveway and when I put her into first gear, the tires locked up and then the drivetrain made a loud clunk noise and when I started moving in first gear she made a loud clicka clicka clicka noise.
I put her back in the garage and had her towed to my mechanic. He drove her back and forth (I think just in his shop driveway) and she seemed fine he said. However, based on the above, he thinks it is possible that I may have shattered one of the disks in my Carbonetics triple clutch.
Has anyone run accross something like what I described?

I hope it is not the tranny.

Any insight would be greatly appreciated

And any "tranny issue" jokes, consider yourself pre-empted

Not sure a broken disk in the clutch would cause a lockup, could there be something chipped floating around in the trans getting into the gears? Drained the fluid and checked it for metal? Drain into a pan and let it sit awhile, see what's in the bottom after it settles.

Mine had the clicking noise too. Found the shifter cable mount had come loose on the tranny. Tightened up. Fixed. That was thousands of miles ago.

The pop out issue happens when decelerating going downhill.

I haven't seen of these issues in a long time. It's the only Achilles heel, and seems to be thing of the past. Most cars either don't have it, or they were repaired.

Could be a chipped tooth in the diff , this would give the clicking sound, if the brocken tooth then became jammed between the other cogs it could also cause the lock up.

Did you have a chance to call up Titan motorsports regarding this issue. I doubt if it is the clutch, I've heard many good things about that clutch to hold up high HP. Let us know either way. GL

It might be the diff, I just got an e-mail from Todd who thinks it sounds more like a differential or cv joint issue than a clutch

Sounds like CV - especially if you have been caning it from standing start. The mystery is why you would have got lock up . The CV will come and go for only a short time before constant noise.
