I think there is a trade off if you only installed adjustable upper control arms (dog bones) without adjustable toe links. You would get your camber corrected but in doing so would cause excessive toe-in and thus will continue to have inner tire wear. I think toe-in wears tires faster than a little extra camber. My plan is to install my techart lowering springs with rear adjustable toe links only.

Right, you have to correct the toe if you adjust camber. On my car, adjusting the upper control arms to go from -1 deg to -2.5 deg camber requires about 1/2 turn of adjustment on the toe link. But you can adjust toe with the stock setup, it's just not as easy to do.

So you're saying all i need in my case to decrease my premature tire wear & less neg camber is ONLY the rear Toe links?

The stock adjusters can produce the correct toe. You DO NOT need to buy any new parts for that. The alignment shop needs to set the toe where you want it. Adjustable toe links just make it easier to do. And even if you do buy and install them, the shop still needs to adjust the toe properly.

My understanding has been that if your car is lowered 1" or more you can't get all the way back to factory toe and camber settings without adjustable toe links and dog bones but, if you get just adjustable toe links you can get toe back within factory spec and you can get camber close (a little more negative than factory). This is the route I've been advised to do. I'm still waiting for a free weekend to do the install. For me, I want a little extra camber in the rear anyway since right now my rear tires wear more on the outside but I drive fairly aggressively most of the time so a factory alignment is not what I'm going for anyway.

You may be right - I haven't tested that setup secifically. I have the adjustable dog bones and toe links on my car, having done them both at the same time. It's not a very expensive mod, and it's a pretty easy install, so might as well do both at the same time. There is certainly plenty of adjustment on my setup to get whatever camber and toe is desired.

This is what I have been told and read as well. FYI, I am at GT2 ride height and set up at -2.0 camber in the rear. My tire wear is very good with just a very slight amount of inner tire wear - by no means anything excessive and this is on a street driven RUF 550 Rturbo......

I am curious as well. My car ate the inner inch of my PS2s very very fast and i had it alligned to GT2 specs. It is at GT2 height now. Judging by the wear it is toe issue, how can I have this fixed?

+1 on just needing adjustable toe kit only.

Tarret rear toe link kit is all you really need, it's a modified porsche part, makes a noticeable difference.

I'm curious as well if installing a toe link kit or aftermarket rear upper camber arms will cause ride noise?

Only if you mis-algn the wheels and cup the tires. Then they will sing.
