We set the boost at the same level when we punched the cars or else it would not be fair. Don't forget my car weighs less than a GT2

I just went through this whole debate and am having my car fine tuned soon. Just breaking it in for now. I can tell you that full tilt GT2860s will give you over 1 BAR boost by 3000 RPM. That's significantly better than My K24s. I would expect K24/18g turbos to have at least a bit more lag than K24s...

There is a lot of confusion here because until recently when tial came out with the full bore GT28 series, there were a lot of K16/GT28 hybrids. These were entirely different turbos that were passed off as GT28s..

Keep in mind that you can opt for Tial GT2860, GT2871 and GT3071s as well. Once you decide to go with a new turbo, your options really open up. You get ball bearing turbos in all cases and have watercooling as an option.

I should have some dyno results within about 10 days and then back it up with the custom tuning and dyno a little bit after that.

Basically I hope to compare my maxed out K24s, with GT2860s and then custom tuned GT2860s.

Ari, if you look at Chris Green's set up before on K24/18G which was much lighter than my car, he ran a 10.75@134 or 135 which is much closer to my numbers( 10.89 @133mph). Chris being a much better driver and has a launch control in his car. So both turbos performance is very similar. Street racing my opinion is that the GT28's compared to my friends spool much quicker and hold it up there. Just my 2 cents.
