Turbo Garet GT28RS60

What do you mean by better? Every turbo has it's advantages based on what you want for performance. The GT28 has incredible spooling abilities and great midrange and falls off a little on the top. The 18G also has good spooling (not quite as good as GT28, but close) and has an awesome midrange and top end. IMO, if you have a street car and never drive fast or race on the highway, GT28's are perfect. If you spend a lot of time on the highway go with 18G's.

If you're looking for 600+ wheel HP, go with the 18G's or Tial GT30/71's. I have a tick under 600awhp with 18G's, 93oct pump gas and Methanol injection. There is a ton of info here on all these setups. Do a search. Good Luck!

when you guys say the k24/18 have better mid and high range for highway runs, at what speeds would you say the GT28's fall off and the k24/18 shine? we talking around 120 mph? again street use.. no track

I have never raced a GT28 car, so I can't say for certainty, I am just repeating what I have heard and read here on the 6. There are plenty of dyno charts here of 18G's and GT28s (can't find any right this second). Numbers aside, look at the curves. IMO, I think at around 120-130 the 18G would start to really shine. I do have 18G's and my car is VERY impressive over 130... I think over 130, the 18G will definitely be faster. I think when "Paulie Walnuts" (18G's) and Dr Jitsu raced (when Dr J had GT28's) he didn't fair so well. Maybe someone with GT28's can chime in with a 60-130 time?

I had the 28's w/ the K16 hotside, full GT 28's would probably be pretty competative w/ the 24/18s, a bit faster spool up w/ a touch less up top. Better quality turbo (GT 28) however and Garrett TIAL will replace the cartridge for a very reasonable price.

You need 20gs with the full build out... for highway pulls both turbos fall after 130 mph...
