Has Porsche Hiked its Parts Prices up 20% +?

Not sure about the US but in Europe Porsche seems to have but their prices up CIRCA 20% +, a simple example is 1 996 TT (not a pair) drivers side rear tail light $460 ? Last time I thought one I am sure it was circa $250 or less. Now its like ringing up Ferrari

In fact I'm not sure ANYTHING Porsche offers is value for money anymore, (maybe apart from a Gayman S), at least with Ferrari, its not all plastic

I've had recent issues with my cooling system and was shopping for radiators. I think the dealer gets close to, if not over $500 a radiator that the aftermarket seems to get closer to $400, maybe $425. I jjst assumed that was normal dealer gauging...

Whatever man, if you ever owned a Ferrari you would probably not say something so stupid. Yes, most of the parts are Aluminum, but you pay like 5-10 times the price of a Porsche part for ANYTHING on a Ferrari, even if it is that piece of plastic...

I've heard rumors that BMW has also had a major price hike.

In tough economic times, when people are not buying new but rather fixing old, doesn't it make perfect [business] sense?

Why would you assume he didnt own a ferrari? Or is this by-default conversation that we're having here?

Gert at Carnewal who deals in Porsche Parts confirms a massive parts price hike, just wait until you need some and you'll see the reality, less new car sales = plan B higher parts revenues

"Some prices doubled or even tripled since February.
And as from June, the prices increase again with roughly 4%".
They want to raise extra profit with the spare parts.

Is what it is... I am about to order two new fender liners, that last year cost me about $85 each... So this year they'll cost me $110-120 each? Hey, as long as Porsche doesn't end up like Chevy and Dodge, I'll be HAPPY to pay it...

And I'm with the other guys... If you own a Porsche, don't expect to buy tune-up parts at Walmart.

How do you propose this? Don't buy the parts you want or need to instal on your car?

Did you "protest" when we were paying $4+ per gallon of gas?

I think it boils down to either you can afford to keep pace, or choose not to maintain your car at the current level...
