How did you get into your 911 Turbo

After seeing some long time Supraforums (Steve T, Blkmgc) faces here, and of cours knowing the history of M3's moving up to Porsche, I'm curious to see what is the most common progression to a 911 Turbo.

So pick one, and if you are "other", list the most recent car you moved from into a (your first) 911 Turbo/GT2 (993, 996, 997).

Cheers

My cars in inverse order of purchase:

2004 996 Turbo Cab (current)
2008 Corvette C6 convertible (sold for the 996)
2007 Corvette C6 convertible (hey, they improved it)
2005 Mercedes E55 Wagon (current -- heck of a car)
2007 BMW 335 convertible (hated it, dumped it quick)
2003 BMW 540 supercharged wagon (VF kit)
2003 BMW M3 convertible (miss it)
2001 Corvette C6 bored/stroked/supercharged (miss it too).
some other ones
1986 Buick Grand National (seriously wish I still had it)

Some fun cars. Some I wish I still had. Good decisions, bad decisions -- some of each.

I loved the C6. In many ways liked it better than the 996 (Chevy V8 torque). Think it is better looking than my 996.

Sold it only because I moved to Iowa and the 996 is AWD -- works in the winter.
