JB, the hats are reusable but the connecting hardware is not. I was told the replacement discs are $295 + $45 for the connectors.

Everything you want to know about brake ducts is here--https://www.6speedonline.com/forums/996-turbo-gt2/147114-997-gt3-brake-ducts.html

Just a heads up. I just bought some GT2 front rotor heat shields from Suncoast for $22.39 a piece. Part numbers 996 351 801 30 and 996 351 802 30.

larry, if that's the same part numbers I gave you yesterday they are for the rear. Front GT2 heat sheilds won't fit on the front.

The numbers he gave me for the rears were 996 352 801 30 and 996 352 802 30. The rears cost $45 a piece. I bought the fronts only for now. The numbers you gave me were incomplete. You gave me 996 801 30 and 996 802 30. It's the 351 and 352 numbers that denote front or rear. 801 and 802 denote left or right.

larry, I have a set of front GT2 heat sheilds if you want them you can have the set. Although not sure if its too late to cancell. The GT2 front heat sheilds will not fit. The rears will.

Not sure if I understand what you are trying to do. You post above mentioned front heat sheilds.

lar, sorry I must have misunderstood you. the GT2 heat sheilds are for the rears I posted pics earlier in this post above. if you notice the pics are of the rear with the black air ducts mounted to the lower suspension arms, if you look closely you can see the stock 996tt heat sheild blocks the air flow from the black air ducts.

GT2 front heat sheilds have a different suspension mounting points than the 996tt and aren't interchangeable.

hope this makes sense.

There is a set of marked rear plates being passed around. You cut the marked plates, use them to mark yours, then pass them to the next guy. I got a set from Oak, and passed mine on to JonB. You might try to send him a pm.

Jon

I missed reading that the shields were for the rear. I'll be sending my purchase back to Suncoast. Live and learn.

sorry larry! don't ask me how I know the fronts do not fit. if anyone needs a set of GT2 front heat sheilds holler at me. lol.

melsta, the part numbers
996 352 801 30 and 996 352 802 30 or hit up JonB as I donated the first trim pair to pass around. all you need to do is use the marked donated set and trim them and mark your set and pass them on the next person.

I called Suncoast first thing this morning and the shields hadn't been shipped yet so I canceled the order. No harm, no foul.

this modification is not necessary, as I did this mod before the 997 were introduced. all that is needed now to upgrade to 6 piston is a set of 996 GT2/3 front calipers and 997tt rotors.
i have a set 997tt rotors with 3-4000 miles on them. let me know if u r interested
