...and as another comparo, my car (AWD, pump gas,(with meth), full weight) is only .1 slower than your GT28 with C16 at 1.4bar? I think these turbos are very, very close in performance...but you are definitely faster...

Mike, you have a very respectable time, that is smoking fast. I think it will be head to head although never ran a K24/18G after 160mph. I think the K24/18G will pull harder later, IMO.

Thanks Art...I'm just trying to determine, like everyone, what is the next upgrade from a 18G? Tial 28's, 30's??? I would LOVE to see a side by side comparison of the TiAL GT28's vs the "old" gt28's (with k16 hot side). I plan on running a TiAL 28 car, just not sure when. I'm sure if my car was RWD and a little lighter I could be in the 5's, just don't really want to go there...

I think you should brother. Tuning is where everything lies and you have a steller one. Whatever the decision you make let it be a great one and enjoy the car. You always like to bust my ***** though for fun and I do not take it personally. Sorry Becker for the thread jacks, this is the forum brother.
Cheers

Just seal the front area & add a sealed canister in the back, fill both area's with helium & watch you 60-130 times drop, how easy is that to lighten your car.

Thanks, Art.

I spoke to DMaffo about his particular set-up at the time of his runs and was surprised to find he had stock injectors with a 5 bar...

Here is how DMaffo described his car:

removed passenger seat
removed rear wiper motor
removed spare tire and tools
removed fan motor in hatch
k24/18
5bar
B6 Intercoolers
kn drop in filter
short throw
catless exhaust
Greddy EBC
ceramic clutch
JIC coilovers
sway bars
el cheapo ebay rims 275 30 19's in rear and 235's in front !! YES 275's!! coz it was cheap HEAVY ebay rims i got car with!
no fuel pump, inj's, air intakes, TB, plenum nothing!
as i wrote it thats it.
hope this helps your research !!

Anyhow, I thought this was interesting information...

If I had the right clutch I knew what I would have done but it was maxed out and slipping at the track. With better tires and lower elevation it would have been a different story for me, not to mention it was 89 degrees with 1600 DA. I have one slip that E.T. was slower but trap was 136. Just FYI
