this will be a good and fair game if he raced ttboost's car..that has similar setup and its 6 speed.

Trying to set something up...

Tony did say that he is giving me a milder tune for now because I would like to play it safe. I want to be able to beat up the car without worrying about the car being in the shop all the time. I trust Tony he really knows what he is doing so I am looking forward to getting my car. Also does anyone know what the driveline loss for the Tiptronic cars are vs. the 6 speed?

TT perhaps we can meet up. We can feel the charicteristics of each others cars...Let me know bro.

Ok, my money is on the larger injectors with Tip, for a few reasons. The tip will loose less boost between shifts and the injectors will give more power and if it is from a dig, the tip car is easier to launch.

If the K24/18 car had injectors and it was a roll on from 35-40, I might put my money on the K24/18.

The extra fueling is what sets these cars apart right now IMO

I'm betting on the GT28 Alpha to pull on the 24/18G.

Probably racing from ~40 to 140mph. So what do you guys think?
I have never heard of more than 25% loss for an auto trans. I see numbers of 12-15% for manual and 18-20% for auto thrown around a lot. Maybe 25% but never heard of higher than that. If you were having a 35% drivetrain loss, your crank hp would be like 800!

Either way I think the alpha takes the win.

I was trying to hook up with Cossey as he is a 6spd car also. As I think about it now though, I have some data that sort of proves (other than launching) the Tip provides no advantage rolling, so it may be a decent comparison between our cars, except for top end, of course...

I think DL loss makes no difference here, as all the numbers being thrown around are whp numbers, although they are from different dynos. My 6spd was 19% on a mustang. I think 25% is about right or on the high side for a Tip...

Dynodynamics numbers are slightly different. A stock car on my shop's dyno made 315-320 awhp, so working backwards from 420CHP( factory#), its more like 24% loss for 6 speed car.

So i guess it depends on the dyno? Also Tony mentioned on his dyno the Tip loss is ~30%

When can we look for this race to happen?

As the cars are set-up now the alpha car should take it. If the 24/18g car gets a race file... who knows??

Until i get my 1.2 bar file a good race is being setup between the GT28 Tip car and a k24/18g 6 speed Protomotive car with 5 bar FPR but 1.3 bar race gas.

This will be a fair comparision, Tip has meth+injectors and k24/18g has race gas. In this race my bet is on K24/18g without Injectors. All these races will be from a roll 40 mph or so...when the weather clears up here in the mid week we will have the results.
