So I walk up to one of the guys and he has a 2008 GSX-R 600. After complimenting his bike I ask him if he would do a highway pull with me. He says sure, what are you riding, I smile and point over to my stock looking 996 turbo. He chuckles and says, " your going to race me in that? My bike ways like 400lb, that thing ways several thousand." I smile politely and say, " I know you will probably beat me but I just want to see how close I can get to you." He smiles and says lets go. We get to the highway and take off.

Race 1: I get the jump and leave him bad.
Race 2: I pull on him again
Race 3: I Pull on him harder
Race 4: I wait for him to hit the throttle and have the same results as the first 3 pulls. He couldnt belive it and kept wanting more.

The best part...Vinod got it on camera so I will post that video tonight if we meet up with O-ace since he has the program to convert high def files.

I know my tiptronic car has to be a monster...full weight with two people in the car. You'll see in the video by the last race this guy was trying to shift as hard as he could. These cars are just freaking awesome.

Not bad race but those 600's r SLOW!!!

I wouldnt call them slow. I wish I was able to record the R6 race I had. I cant wait to take the car to the track I should be in the low 130mph range. Remember my car is a tiptronic and as such has more drivetrain loss and slower shift speeds then a 6 speed car.

I was going to do it this week but decided not to, Im going to work on it next week. I am really looking into EVOMS tcu upgrade as well and also doing a tq converter upgrade.

Im designing the kit to have a inline filter so I can keep the ATF clean. I also have a temp gauge. This way i can make sure that the temps are staying in the range for the ATF to do its job.

Proto K24/18g tiptronic car vs LPE660 C6ZO6

The 996tt has 2 passengers! and the temp was 89-90 degree

The same car raced stroker warhawk 440ci C6ZO6 and it made 600rwhp and new ZR1 w/570rwhp ( i think it is tuned ).

With the stroker warhawk 440ci C6ZO6 the 996tt was on 1.3 ( on pumpgas ) start with rolling 50mph and both ran neck2teck for about 2300fr/0.43 mile once the zo6 hit 5th the 996tt will start pulling it

With the 570rwhp ZR1 the 996tt was on 1.3bar ON RACEGAS!!!
start rolling 50mph He pulled the ZR1 3-4cars after about also 2400ft

Hi guys,

O-ace had to get his license so we didnt want to risk racing with an expired license. We are going to do the runs this weekend. I will be posting up the videos then.

That driver in the z06 cant drive at all. The porsche looks fast! But Corvettes have an awfull 5th gear there is no point in using it because they will go past 200mph.

Even if the driver good the vette will jump 1-2 cars then the porsche will pull it HARD.

On 1.3bar on racegas a tuned ZR1 570rwhp lost by 4 cars before couple of weeks !!

Race Results
I keep getting so many PM's regarding the race results of the Tial GT28 Tiptronic car vs. my 6 speed car K24/18g with just 5 bar and running 1 bar boost.

Tiptronic Car Specs:
GT 28 Alpha Turbos
EPL Custom Dyno Tune
1.3 Bar to 1.4 Bar
100% Meth Injection
60lb Injectors
Mustang Dyno: 535 AWHP , 606 TQ

K24/18g 6 Speed car:
Off the shelf EPL Tune
Solid .9 -1 bar
5 bar FPR
Dynodynamics Dyno: 497 AWHP, 530 TQ

We raced from 45 mph , I started in 2nd gear and Tiptronic car shifted manually. The results ....until shutoff we were dead even , when i shifted to 5th gear i started slowly puling away from the tip car...but stopped the race then.

So the bottomline, to all those who predicted the Alpha car will kill/murder/destroy the k24/18g 6 speed car...you guys were dead wrong

My 6 speed car with 18g if it had injectors and 1.3 bar is what will murder the tip car. So no matter what you do to tiptronic it has its downside and will always produce lower power than a similary equipped 6 speed car...its simple there is more driveline loss. Tiptronic needs a lot more power to hang with the 6 speed cars in a street race situation esp if the 6 speed driver is good!

Tialsport , if you are reading this...do your research before you place bets ....GT28 by default doesnt beat on k24/18g cars. Dont forget that a lot of the current 60-130 record holders have 18g turbos.

Hopefully this will give you Tiptronic guys some perspective on what to expect from you cars with GT setups.

The GT28 tip car is fast and will beat on 600cc bikes, amg cars, tuned GTR etc....but to hang with a equally setup 6 speed car with upgraded turbos...alot more hp is needed. The car shifts at 6500 rpms...maybe a TCU remapping will help??

To be fair ..Vince's car has some problem with ECU. Regardless the car was making good boost 1.3 bar and feels strong.. a race is a race. I will be glad to run him again after his ECU and TCU is remapped.

Now i am more confident that a 18g car with injectors at 1.3 bar will destroy a Tial Gt28 Tiptronic with all bells and whistles. Its simple , tiptronic is the handicap here.

That's what I thought would happen. Plus, with him running 100% meth it's equivalent to running race gas evidenced by 1.3-1.4 bar. You, on the other had, were running pump and only .9-1 bar. As you said, throw some race gas in there, crank it to 1.3 bar and the 18g "destroys" the alpha 28.

Regardless, it sounds like you two had a lot of fun and this is what it's all about.

Yeah you are right. It just shows how good the 18g turbos are ...they cant be beat for the money. Anything more powerful is pushing the limit of stock engine.
