Brutal day in Denver. Bandimere is 5800' absl. With all factors the correction was just under 8,500' absl! We might as well have been drag racing on Vail pass.
The turbos are too small for this altitude. They made 25 psi in AZ and maxed out at 20/21 psi today. This was as high as they'd go no matter what we tried. We're going to change from 3071's to 3076's. This fall we're going to go to GT35's.
Times were very consistent:
60' 1.698
330 4.665
1/8 7.04
MPH 106.55
1000 9.010
E.T. 10.666
MPH 137.04
We ran the GT700 Cayenne a few times and trapped at 107. That's cooking up here. Stock vets rarely break 100 MPH to put it in perspective.
I have a Heffner N/A Viper. It's 700 HP. Best trap speed was 111 MPH.
Racing up here is a whole different ball game but still tons of fun.

Excellent numbers John!Bring it down to sea level and she will really shine!I would think at sea level and some favorable temps it has a 145+mph trap in it!Those heads really did the trick!

Here is some overall pics of the day with Todd working on the GT2 in the shade. These Arizona boys were not ready for HEAT and ALTITUDE. Todd must have had 3 gallons of water. By the end of the day he could barely fit inside the GT2, I am pretty sure the car could have gone 0.2 seconds faster and 1-2 mph more if Todd hadn't have drank so much water.

joe,
thanks.
I was actually the only one making passes mid day. My passes were horrible, but the 93 degree temps didn't help much with my stock coolers. My trap speeds varied from 118 to 120. I took PSM off but it didn't matter as the car didn't have enough to spin the tires like it does when it is in the low 70's. Of course since I was the camera guy, there is no vids or pics of my passes. I wanted to get a baseline for my upcoming upgrades happening in a month. To see how much mph I gain. My passes were all on 91 octane file and fuel.
thanks.
