Oakley in GT900 GT2

First ever 1/4 mile run will take place this coming Wednesday. It's been an 18 month project.

Cool video of the Oakley shifter:

Additionally, I am wondering if there is a horsepower limit on this transmission? For example, could a car with Joe's power use this transmission without fear of breaking it?

Rob it is a shifting mechanism added on to the OEM tranny.Additionally Johns GT2 will probably make as much power (or be really close)as my previous setup (at 28 lbs )that ran the mile but on GT30'S.

Joe
I was wondering when the car shifts that fast will it cause an excess strain on the clutch? I am not certain how this setup works so do please forgive my lack of knowledge? If this is a viable option, I am truly interested in this for my car?
Thanks
Robert

I would think no more strain than someone that is powershifting.Should really have noeffect on the longevity but once you get used to the sequential shifting should make for lightning quick shifts.

John, I went to Bandimere this last wednesday to practice my launching. If you are going to be there I will probably go again. I presume Todd won't be there, so just you running the car? That shifter should pick you up quite a bit of time and speed with no loss of boost.

Dennis,

I rented the track from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. You're more than welcome to come by and take a few runs. Todd will be there tuning the car for altitude and C16.
