I recorded a video of a cold start up without pressing the throttle so to hear the sound...as you can hear it goes away after 30seconds...opinions?

I rewatched it, it is a lifter I think. Do you get a puff of white smoke on start up too? Definitely not a rod.

No my friend...No smoke at all...Only one time out of 1000...I believe it is a lifter...it goes away and the car runs fine...

That is what I thought last night! I just couldn't figure out how to explain why it went away after 30 sec. They usually stick around...

I got '01 TT, you should be able to find that oil in Europe since it is made in France, you should definitely try it out.

its def not a rod ... a rod is much deeper than that.. i would say sticky lifter or a slight exhaust leak that is sealing up after the head and exhaust manifold heat up and expand... has the sound gotten any louder in the last ten day or is remaining consistant?
