Inside the tips of my tail pipes used to be black but now they are somewhat brownish. What could have caused it?

Hmm I would maybe attribute it to the gas. Not sure if you've changed stations or supplier has. There's a lot of weird additives in our gas in Cali that leave weird deposits (shell for one!).

Luckily with the evomsit the bosch knock suppresion stuff is all in place

Hey Alex,

I thought maybe it was caused by the 91 gas too. I have been using Chevron gas for the last two years, mostly from the same station; and occasionally, I used 100. Therefore, I don't think it was the gas.

I met RiA this passed weekend; he saw the tail pipes and raised the question. I was going to ask you and James, but thought that I'd ask the 6speeders first.

As long as it's not silver, it's good. That will be a sign of C16 symptom

Hey Eugene yeah I hear you... sometimes even the gas stations change their suppliers somewhat and throw a curve ball heh... I remember the dyno stuff showing the AFR's in a good spot too so my guess is it's likely just deposits?

Alex. Since the car is running fine, I really paid no attention to it until RiA questioned it. Thanks.

We can always log it too but you should be spot on with the hardware you have We can also check your 02s/cats at some point

PS Did they start selling 94 or 95 at the Andrade station yet?

I wouldn't worry about that for now, and may drop by when I'm heading your way.

I went to the station at Andrade about a month ago but I only saw 100.

Thanks again...
